Keeguard Standing Seam

About KeeGuard Railing Systems For Standing Seam Metal Roofs

KeeGuard Standing Seam OSHA Compliant roof edge fall protection railing system removes the risk of workers and other personnel from accidentally falling off a roof. This Model is engineered with a base plate clamped on to the roof seam. The Safety Rail Source system is installed along the roof edge and complies with OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1910.23. The railings extend above the walking surface 42” and withstand a force of 200 pounds applied to the top rail.

KeeGuard Standing Seam is engineered utilizing a galvanized steel mounting plate with 4 – S5 clamps that pinch to the standing seam. Mounting plates are predrilled to receive type 62, 63, 67 and 69 base fittings for railing posts. Top and mid railings are attached to the posts using type 135 drop in fittings. KeeGuard Standing Seam is manufactured with 2” OD galvanized tubing with galvanized modular fittings. Railing fittings and components are delivered on skids, railing pipe is bundled. Skids and bundles are marked per location to be installed.

Railing system components are assembled using a hex key. For exact fit, top and mid railings are field cut at corners, jogs and terminations using a reciprocating saw. No welding is necessary with our railing system. The horizontal baseplates are custom fabricated to accommodate a wide variety of standing seam metal roofs.

This custom designed guardrail provides safe access to rooftops and also protects ladderway access.

KeeGuard Standing Seam is engineered specifically for standing seam roofs. Its configuration accommodates varying angles, ladders and rooftop obstructions. If kick plate is needed, use base fitting type 69 to accommodates a 4” high extruded aluminum plate.

The Simple, Cost Effective Solution that Does Not Penetrate the Roof Membrane

Why use a railing system for fall protection on a low slope roof?

  • Our KeeGuard railing system removes the risk of workers falling off the roof.
  • There is no fall restraint training involved.
  • It is the safest way to provide fall protection for people who work near the roof edge.
  • Maintenance Free

What are some other benefits of KeeGuard Fall Protection Railing System?

  • No penetration of the roof membrane.
  • Collective fall protection. This means that the number of people that can be on a roof safely is only limited by the size and strength of the roof.
  • Simple clamp-on construction of our KeeGuard fall protection system makes installation E-Z.
  • KeeGuard is made of the world’s best components – Kee Klamp pipe fittings and hot dip galvanized pipes.
  • No annual inspections, maintenance, training, additional equipment or other hidden costs.
  • In all safety matters the simpler the solution the better. KeeGuard fall protection railing systems provides an E-Z and permanent solution to roof fall protection.

Permanent Solution for Roof Edge Safety Safety recommendations for the protection of maintenance personnel in countries all over the world are moving to a “hierarchy of safety” where collective fall prevention solutions, as provided by the KeeGuard system, are preferred over singular fall protection alternatives such as harnesses and wire systems. Collective fall prevention and fall protection can be achieved with the use of the KeeGuard system. Lifeline, fall restraint, and fall arrest systems require individual equipment and specialized training. In contrast, the KeeGuard system acts as a passive barrier and protects all personnel, even those who may access the rooftop infrequently. Our KeeGuard Roof Edge Railing System works along side your existing personal fall protection devices.
